Which organisms came first on the earth, simple plants, or simple animals?

Plants developed millions of years before animals did. Maybe 100,000,000 years before. They formed from bacteria. And then animals formed from those plants. They grew legs and arms and adapted onto the land. I know it sounds crazy but I watch National Geographic documentaries all the time…
